Halfway . . .
. . . between grunge and suit,
halfway between young and old,
halfway between native and alien,
halfway between heaven and earth,
I see you nowhere at all.Why
do you stand in its midst?
Between greatest joy & deepest sadness, hanging,
'midst the great Mystery revealed & perfect clarity,
I see you & wonder why, you stand
between wind and sand, sinking.
Halfway to gallows or guillotine,
I wait to be gathered, again . . .
. . . and finally.
